Hi there!

I recently read that aboutness is important, especially in writing, and that a writer should know what they’re writing about.

But writing demands honesty, too, and this writer is not yet entirely sure what she wants to write about or which parts of herself she wants to disclose to the Substack world.

Here’s what I do know: I love words, I love languages, and I think writing is sublime, same as music. Whenever I succeed in finding the right words and arranging them in a particular pattern that “sounds just right,” I get an electrifying sense of pleasure. So in a way, this newsletter serves the purpose of giving me more pleasure in life (after hours spent crying over being a terrible writer).

In return, I promise to always be honest and give my all to these pages, hoping that some of the patterns I create give you some pleasure as well; or maybe some meaning, joy, excitement, disapproval, or whatever else you might feel.

By reading meanderings you’ll get a seemingly random collage of topics brought together from a place of curiosity, not expertise; touching upon matters of the heart, with the help of the mind; infused with some humor but always about deadly serious matters. :)
